När du går till en korvkiosk och beställer korv, bröd och mos… Brukar du få korv med liten köttmängd, vitt bröd och mos med konserveringsmedel…

My lunch yesterday!

There’s even different fun ways to make the most typical ‘junk food’ a littleee bit healthier…! ;)

When you go to a hot dog stand and order sausage, bread and mash… Usually you get sausage with a low meat percentage, white bread and mash with preservatives…

Ingredients:

Sausage (instead of ‘low’ meat percentage, I choose a bit more expensive one that contains 90% pure meat)
Homemade potato mash
Bread (instead of a white bread, I choose a dark bread with rye)
Homemade pure Mayo mixed with Boston pickle
Cherry tomatoes

My very first shoot as a ‘model’ – When I was ONLY 13 years old!

… And the last shoot I did – A little while ago, before turning 22 years! 

Tiden går… :) Sedan finner jag mig själv HÄR, 22 år gammal!

9 år av modellande…! Låter som en galet lång tid…

Första gången jag stod framför kameran efter att ha blivit scoutad (13 år gammal, bilderna ovan)… Trodde jag verkligen inte att jag skulle hålla på tills jag blev 22!

Jag har definitivt sett några olika fantastiska platser genom åren…

Sydafrika (Kapstaden), Australien (Melbourne), Nya Zeeland (Auckland), Hong Kong, Kina (Guangzhou), Frankrike (Paris), England (London)…

… På gott och ont behåller jag dessa minnen i min ficka för framtida äventyr i livet :)

Att lämna ‘modellvärlden’ var ett enkelt val för mig att göra nu -

När jag var yngre hade jag inte lika stort problem med att allt handlade om utseende.
Men nu som lite äldre (äldre än DÅ i alla fall) – Vill jag inte lägga ner sådan stor vikt och tanke i något så ytligt…

Jag ÄLSKAR att driva mitt klädmärke emmaoclothing – Tjäna pengar (inte baserat på mitt utseende) och hjälpa kvinnorna i Zimbabwe, samt deras familjer! DET för mig, känns värt att lägga ner tid och energi på <3

Time is passing… :) Then I first myself HERE, 22 years old!

9 years of modelling…! Sounds like a crazy long time…

The first time I stood in front of the camera after being scouted (13 years old, the photos above)… I really didn’t think I’d keep on going until I was 22!

I’ve definitely seen some different amazing places throughout the years…

South Africa (Cape Town), Australia (Melbourne), New Zealand (Auckland), Hong Kong, China (Guangzhou), France (Paris), England (London)…

… For better or worse I keep these memories in my pocket for future adventures in life :)

To leave the ‘world of modelling’ was a easy choice for me to make now -

When I was younger it didn’t bother me as much that everything was about looks.
But now as a little bit older (older than THEN at least) – I don’t want to put such big weight and thought in something so superficial…

I LOVE running my clothing brand emmaoclothing - Making money (not based on my looks) and help the women in Zimbabwe, as well as their families! THAT for me, feels worth putting time and energy into <3

En läsare bad mig göra ett blogginlägg om mina tatueringar… :)

För mig representerar båda mina tatueringar ‘Frihet’ -

Jag brukar säga att de tre svalorna står för min mamma, pappa och bror.

Fjädern på min ryggrad är nu ett minne av den kärlek jag hade för någon.

Båda tatueringar är gjorda i Kapstaden, Sydafrika – Av samma artist.

… Mina tatueringar är bitterljuva. Då jag gjorde båda med min ex-pojkvän – Han bär samma fjäder på sin kropp också…

Vissa dagar känns fjädern ‘tung’ att bära på min rygg.
Vissa dagar älskar jag och förstår den…

Likväl som livet i sig – Bitterljuvt, men vi lär oss att leva och blomstra av det som har hänt oss.

A reader asked me to do a blog post about my tattoos… :)

For me both my tattoos represents ‘Freedom’ -

I usually say that the three swallows stand for my mom, dad and brother.

The feather on my spine is now a memory of the love I had for someone.

Both tattoos are made in Cape Town, South Africa – By the same artist.

… My tattoos are bittersweet. As I had both done with my ex-boyfriend – He carries the same feather on his body as well…

Some days the feather feels ‘heavy’ to carry on my back.
Some days I love and understand it…

Just as life itself – Bittersweet, but we learn to live and prosper by what has happened to us.
